Freshers!

This year all Freshers content is via the website, so click on the Freshers bar above for more information.

Who are the JPC?

The JP Committee runs the College Student Union. It is made up of 21 members.  Elections happen twice a year (November and March) and half the Committee is elected at any one time.  Any member of the Junior Parlour can stand for a post.  For further infomation on elections, please see the elections page.

What do the JPC do?

The JPC are responsible for helping students with every aspect of their lives in Pembroke - from work to bops, from the computer room to the bar. We represent Pembroke students' interests with College and the Cambridge University Students Union.   The JPC has weekly meetings at which important issues are discussed and minor decisions made.  Forthcoming events are planned and policies are discussed.

How are decisions made?

The JPC has weekly meetings at which important issues are discussed and minor decision made.  Forthcoming events are planned and policies discussed.  Major decisions are made through Open Meetings where all students can speak and put motions for discussion.   If there is something you would like the JPC to discuss or raise with college authorities, email the President, or the relevant committee member.  If you would like to put a motion to an open meeting, see our guide.

This Website is maintained by the Pembroke JPC IT Officer.
